Gower's most visited attraction

The iconic sunflower
fields at Rhossil

The glorious fields of sunflowers will once again be unveiled near Worm's Head
at Rhossili in July 2023

Rhossili Sunflowers are located at the iconic Vile in Rhossili, we grow around 8 acres of sunflowers at the moment. Years ago the Vile was famous for vegetable production, growing some of the best vegetables in the UK. Demand for that has declined as with farming on the Gower, now most of the land is owned by the National Trust, some by local farmers, and the sunflower fields by Robert Morgan of Gower Fresh Christmas Trees....

Incredible opportunity to snap few amazing shots for your Insta.

2022 was incredibly exciting and successful for us. We saw tens of thousands of visitors enjoy the sunflower fields. This year we have prepared more and new things that we know will bring lots of joy to everyone. You will still be able to get some food and refreshing drinks.
Enjoy the fields with a variety of Sunflower colours and sizes, grab those all important family photos at one of our Sunflower arches or one of our 2 giant swings, we even have dog arches so your pets can enjoy also.

You can pick and buy sunflowers from the PYO field. We have more flowers this year, so a lot more to chose from.

Charity

Some of the proceeds go to local charities. Last year all of the visitors to the sunflower fields raised over £1200.00 for Rhossili Church and the RNLI so a very big THANK YOU all and we will be announcing this year’s Charities soon.  It is great to give something back to the community.

Prepare for your visit

How to have the best experience.

Opening Times

The fields will be open around mid July to early September, exact dates will be released closer to the time once we know how the crop is progressing we will update here and on our Facebook page once confirmed. Opening times are daily 10am to 9pm if Dry, last entry 8pm. If the weather is wet we close at 6pm. Please follow us on Facebook where we confirm closing times for the day there. Our Food Hut is open until 7pm serving hot and cold drinks, and a selection of cold savouries, cakes and pastries.

Car park

The parking for the sunflower fields is in the National Trust car park and it is then a short walk about 20 minutes to the bottom field. Car park is priced at £3 for 2 hours or £6 for the day. The car park is also the last chance for a comfort break, as there are no lavatories beyond the car park. The path has no paved sections, so can be uneven but many still enjoy with buggies or walking aids.

Due to the land in between us and the car park being land not owned by us we are unable to offer easier access such as transport to the fields.

Prices

Entry Price £3.50 per person, (children in buggies, prams or being carried are free). Pay on the gate card and cash taken, but advisable to bring cash as the card machine signal can sometimes drop. Pick your own stems to take home for £1.50

Adults as well as children can enjoy our trail, find the clues and collect the stamps, a great way to explore the fields. It’s all included in the entry price, as well as a map for the trail. Please be advised sunny days and weekends can get very busy, so please expect delays. Try to visit on weekdays when it is quieter and more tranquil.

Sensible footwear is recommended in all conditions.
